Imani Hair Care Distributors Inc. Return & Refund Policy

This policy applies to all purchases made on the Imani Hair Care Distributors Inc. website.
Returns Eligibility
Our return window is 30 days from the date of purchase. If 30 days have passed since your purchase date, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet ALL the following conditions:

Unopened and Unused: Item must be unused and in the exact condition in which it was received.

Original Packaging & Seals: Must be in the original, undamaged packaging, with all manufacturer seals, cello wrapping, and security tabs fully intact.

Proof of Purchase: Requires a receipt or proof of purchase (e.g., your order number).
We strictly reserve the right to refuse a return if an item shows signs of use, has broken seals, or is not in resalable condition.
Non-Returnable Items (Due to Safety & Hygiene)
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned due to hygiene and safety standards:

Intimate or sanitary goods (e.g., hair styling tools, opened brushes).

Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
2. Policy on Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items (Deterring Fraud)
We purchase all products directly from the manufacturer, ensuring every item is sealed and leaves our facility in pristine condition. Claims are handled with strict scrutiny and clear procedure:

Damage in Transit (Carrier Liability): If an item arrives damaged (e.g., box crushed, internal product broken), the claim is covered by the shipping carrier (UPS). We are not liable for packages damaged in transit; the customer must file the claim with the carrier.

Defective or Incorrect Item: We only replace items if they are proven to be defective upon arrival or if you received an item different from your order.

Required Action: You must e-mail your claim with photographic evidence (of the item and the packaging) within 24 hours of receiving your package.

Items must be unopened and unused to be eligible for replacement.

Opened/Claimed Damaged (Fraud Deterrent): Any item returned that is opened, used, or not in its original, sealed condition for reasons not due to a shipping error will be subject to thorough inspection. For these unsaleable items, we will issue a maximum partial refund of 40%. Depending on the severity of the damage or violation, we reserve the right to reduce this amount to a minimum of 25% partial refund for severe policy violations where the item is deemed completely unsaleable.
3. Refunds and Exchanges Process
Refunds (If Applicable)
Once your return is received and rigorously inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7–10 business days.
Partial Refunds (Situations May Include)

Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Such items will receive a maximum refund of 40% of the retail price.

Any item returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Late or Missing Refunds
If a refund is missing, please first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, as processing time varies. If you have done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at imanihaircare@gmail.com.
Sale Items
Only regular priced items may be eligible for a refund. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Shipping Costs: All return shipping must be arranged and paid for by the customer. However, for your convenience, we will provide a prepaid, tracked shipping label and deduct the cost of the label from your total refund amount. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Tracking: If you are shipping an item valued over $75, you should ensure the package is trackable. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item if a tracked label is not used.
